Forsyth County Public Library Purpose Passport
Pick up a FCPL Purpose Passport at your branch and engage in enriching activities such as storytimes, bookclubs, craft sessions, lectures and more that will equip, empower and connect you to your neighbors, the community and Forsyth County even more than you already are!

Poetry events – Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center, April 11th at 6pm
Join us for a special poetry open mic night on Tuesday, April 11 from 6-7:30 p.m. Adults can perform their poetry pieces to an audience and afterwards attend a light reception. The poetry pieces will be compiled into a small booklet for other library patrons to view for the rest of the month of April. To register for a time slot, please call the front desk at 336-703-2950. Please limit poetry pieces to 5 minutes or less.

Authors Meet and Greet FRIDAY, APRIL 14, 3 to 5 P.M. in the Central Library Auditorium.
Featuring Victoria Christopher Murray: "The Personal Librarian" "Stand Your Ground". Tiffani Teachey, Children’s Author, "What Can I Be? STEM Careers from A to Z". YA Author, Laila Sabreen, "You Truly Assumed" and "Study Break." Author Kasandra Price who wrote, "A Rose That Grew from a Textbook in the village." And author Tammy Kernodle who wrote, "Soul on Soul: The Life and Music of Mary Lou Williams."


Celebrate National Library Week - “There’s More to the Story”
Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks and more! Make sure to visit your library branch for programming, check out museum passes, attend music and movement, crafting clubs and more! Libraries provide internet and technology classes, support for buisness, job seeker and entrepreneurs. Join us at the Central Library for a National Library Week 2023 for Dewey Decimal Come to Life, with fun and games for all ages as we represent each section of the Dewey Decimal system. This event will take place Thursday, April 27 from 6 to 7 p.m.
