2024 GENERAL ELECTION CANDIDATE FILING OPENS MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2023 AT NOON

Candidate filing for the 2024 General Election in Forsyth County begins on Monday, December 4, 2023 at noon and ends on Friday, December 15, 2023 at noon. Candidate filing takes place at the Forsyth County Board of Elections office in the Forsyth County Government Center (201 N. Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem). Citizens wishing to run for office in 2024 must file their Notices of Candidacy by Friday, December 15, 2023 at noon to be a candidate on the ballot. Candidates mailing their Notice of Candidacy, are encouraged to use this option during the first part of the filing period to ensure that the notice is received timely and can be properly processed. All notices mailed to our office must be notarized and received (not postmarked) by noon on Friday, December 15, 2023.
