Air quality remains good across the Triad on Tuesday. Warmer weather is slated to return for the rest of the workweek with high temperatures in the 60s as surface high pressure moves overhead. Surface winds will become lighter as the week wears on and conditions will become more conducive for the formation of nocturnal temperature inversions which trap fine particles close to the surface. AQI readings are expected to continue building, potentially reaching the lower Code Yellow range by Thursday and Friday. (Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
