Local Mystery Writer Presents "A Simple Murder" Novel

Based in Kernersville, this local author will visit Central Library on June 20th at 7:00 pm. He'll talk about a range of authors who tread those dark streets -- and what characteristics are often found in a hard-boiled detective story. Cissna will share what he knows of his favorite genre -- the murder mystery. He will trace the history of the mystery of the story from its roots, then narrow down to the range of authors who focus on the sub-genre of the hard-boiled detective story. In addition to sharing the characteristics many such characters share, Cissna will detail his three leading author inspirations and read from his own tough-guy private investigator, A Simple Murder. A book signing will follow the discussion.
