Free Dental Treatment for Adults!

The NCMOM program is a grassroots effort, dependent on volunteers, with funding from grants and donations. Kate B. Reynolds Foundation has contributed $55,000 towards the $100,000 needed for the Winston-Salem event. The volunteers include dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and scores of professional and general volunteers from across the state. Since its beginning in 2003, the program has received national and statewide recognition.

NCMOM has enough equipment to set up an 80-chair dental clinic including digital x-ray, sterilization, instrumentation and supplies. The Winston-Salem MOM Dental Clinic is a two day event, Nov 14-15th, at the Education Building at the Fairgrounds and anticipates treating up to 1,000 patients. The doors open to the general public at 6:00 a.m. Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Each patient selected for treatment will receive only one service, prioritizing their most urgent diagnosed need. The philosophy is to provide services to as many people as possible rather than to provide many services to fewer people. For a complete list of services and most frequent questions and answers, please refer to the Winston-Salem NC MOM website.

Individuals wishing to attend this event should arrive early and anticipate long waiting periods. Patients should bring required medicines, water, dress in layers for changing temperatures and any other items you may need while waiting. Due to limited space and long waiting periods, bringing children to this event is strongly discouraged.

Both community and professional volunteers are needed. See information on ways you can help and how to become a volunteer.
