Story Time Schedule Announced While Central Undergoes Renovations

We are pleased to announce a schedule for children's story times that will take place around downtown Winston-Salem locations while Central Library undergoes renovations.

Story Time--10:00 am-10:30 am Mondays at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 520 Summit St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.

There is nothing we enjoy more than to share our favorite books with toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers. Join the Central Library Children’s Room staff for a rollicking storytime with books, rhymes, music and a coloring sheet. It’s lots of fun and you might learn something new! This program is free and open to the public. Call 703-3041 for more information.

Book Babies--10:00 am-10:30 am on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Mountcastle Forum at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 N. Spruce St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101

This program is especially for infants through early walkers and their caregivers. There is an emphasis on bouncy lap rhymes and fingerplays that encourage play and cooperation between adult and child. We will share classic rhymes and age appropriate books, as well as songs everyone can play and sing along with. This program is free and open to the public. Call 703-3041 for more information.

Music & Movement--11:00 am-11:30 am on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Mountcastle Forum at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 N. Spruce St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.

Music & Movement is Central Library's Children’s Room signature program for kids from infants to kindergartners and their caregivers. We incorporate elements of storytelling, rhythm instruments and movement into our carefully chosen song list. Everyone is an active performer in this happy program. This program is free and open to the public. Call 703-3041 for more information.

Preschool Films--10:00 am Wednesdays at First Baptist Church, 501 W. Fifth St., Winston-Salem NC 27101

Join us for an hour of films that preschoolers love. See your favorite characters and stories on the big screen. This program is free and open to the public. Call 703-3041 for more information.
