American Music: a 400-Year Adventure, Free Piano Music Concert June 30 at Walkertown

In this heart warming and thoughtful program, Howland uses her considerable gifts at the piano to entertain, inspire, and uplift audiences through her beautiful renditions of the great treasures of American music.

Beginning with a medley of Celtic tunes based on “Amazing Grace,” she takes us on an emotional journey through spirituals, blues, ragtime, jazz, Beatles tunes, and even movie music, to tell the story of the diversity of American music.

The history of our nation’s music unfolds through her unique storytelling and her sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic, but always soulful playing.
