Digital Navigators Free Computer Help During May

During the month of May, the Forsyth County Public Library system is partnering with the State Library of North Carolina to provide digital navigators who can help people with questions about home computers, computer skills or using their digital devices, through a helpline.

The digital navigators are library school graduate students who are trained by the State Library of North Carlina. The project is part of a statewide effort to close the digital divide.

Those interested in talking with a digital navigator should text 919-714-9471, leave a voicemail at 919-714-9471 or fill out an online form at: http://bit.ly/maydignay to receive a call back.

Common topics include home internet connectivity, email use, online video conferencing platforms like Zoom, online education and such devices as Chromebooks.

This project is made possible in part with funding from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
