North Central District 4-H Poultry Show Entries Due September 8

The North Central District 4-H Poultry Show will be held the morning of Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Winston-Salem. Youth ages 5-18 that wish to show birds at this show, should:

• Optional: There was an overview and Question and Answer session on Aug. 31. Email awbowman@ncsu.edu to receive the recording.
• Register (on the “learn more” link below) and pay a $25 registration fee by September 8.
• Chicks can be picked up at your County Extension Center on October 30 (IF the USPS delivers on time). Youth will receive 5 chicks that “should” all be hens.
• Participants should also submit a 4-H Project Record book on their project by April 19 in order to be eligible to compete on the morning of May 4.
• Zoom classes will be held on chick care, housing, health and nutrition, as well as showing and may be watched live or recorded.
